Make foolproof baked potatoes with crispy skin and fluffy centers in your air fryer. This quick side dish is perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them completely dry with a paper towel.
  2. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
  3. Rub the potatoes all over with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with sea salt.
  4. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 40-50 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the inside is tender when pierced with a fork. Flip the potatoes halfway through cooking for even crisping.
  6. Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer.
  7. Slice open the top and fluff the inside with a fork. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For loaded baked potatoes, prepare your favorite toppings like cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, and chives.
  • Ensure the potatoes are completely dry before oiling and salting for the crispiest skin.
  • If your air fryer runs hot, start checking for doneness a few minutes early.
