Quick and simple cinnamon roll bites made with canned biscuit dough, perfect for a sweet brunch treat or holiday breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Separate the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into four pieces.
  4. Roll each piece of dough into a ball.
  5. Dip each dough ball into the melted butter, then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  6. Place the coated dough balls into the prepared mini muffin tin, about 2-3 per cup.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the bites are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl to create the glaze.
  9. Once the bites are out of the oven, let them cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon roll bites.

Notes

  • For a pull-apart monkey bread style, don’t pack the dough balls too tightly in the muffin tin.
  • You can add chopped nuts to the cinnamon-sugar mixture for extra texture.
  • These are best served warm.
