A quick and easy skillet shrimp recipe with a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special date night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1 minute until heated through.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and fresh parsley.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a low-carb or keto-friendly option, serve the shrimp without pasta or rice.
  • This dish pairs well with crusty bread for dipping into the sauce.
  • Consider serving over your favorite pasta or rice for a complete meal.
