Make juicy, crispy chicken breasts quickly in your air fryer. This simple recipe uses Parmesan cheese for a flavorful crust, perfect for a fast weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps achieve crispiness.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the olive oil lightly over all sides of the chicken breasts.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently so the cheese adheres well.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
  6. Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  7. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the crust is golden brown and crisp.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra juicy results, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before seasoning.
  • If you are looking for alternatives to cooking at home, research current meal planning services.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to confirm doneness and prevent overcooking.
