Make tender, juicy steak bites effortlessly in your slow cooker with a rich garlic butter sauce. This is a simple, hands-off dinner perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup butter, cubed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the steak cubes in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the steak evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the steak.
  4. Arrange the cubes of butter evenly over the top of the steak.
  5. Add the minced garlic over the butter.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the steak is tender.
  7. Once cooked, stir gently to combine the melted butter and broth into a sauce.
  8. Serve the steak bites immediately over mashed potatoes or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, remove the steak and set it aside. Mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water, then stir this slurry into the liquid remaining in the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  • This recipe works well for simple meal planning; prepare ingredients the night before.
