Make this simple, versatile creamy garlic sauce in under ten minutes. It works well as a dip, a topping for chicken, or mixed into pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water (or more for thinner consistency)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, water, salt, and pepper into a food processor or blender.
  2. Process the ingredients until the sauce is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste the sauce. Add more water, one teaspoon at a time, if you prefer a thinner consistency for drizzling.
  4. If you want a stronger garlic flavor, add one more small clove of garlic and blend again briefly.
  5. Transfer the creamy garlic sauce to an airtight container. Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a low-fat option, substitute half the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • This sauce is a great accompaniment to grilled chicken or as a dipping sauce for fries.
  • If you are looking for meal planning inspiration, this sauce pairs well with simple protein and vegetable dishes.
