A simple recipe for a balanced sweet and smoky honey barbecue sauce, perfect for grilling wings and ribs.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir well to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  4. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
