Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans for topping

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until the mixture is fully combined and creamy.
  3. Stir in 1 cup of the toasted chopped pecans into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the caramel sauce and heavy cream until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into a serving dish.
  6. Pour the caramel sauce mixture over the top of the dip.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of chopped pecans over the caramel layer.
  8. Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve cold with graham crackers, apple slices, or pretzels.

Notes

  • Toast the pecans lightly in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes to bring out their flavor. Let them cool before using.
  • For an extra indulgent topping, warm the caramel sauce slightly before drizzling it over the dip.
  • This dip is a crowd pleasing dip idea that pairs well with both sweet and slightly salty dippers.
