Make this easy, no-bake imitation crab dip using simple ingredients for a crowd-pleasing party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 10 ounces imitation crab meat (surimi), shredded
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Beat it with a fork or electric mixer until it is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are fully combined and smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, gently shred the imitation crab meat into small pieces.
  4. Fold the shredded imitation crab meat into the cream cheese mixture until evenly distributed. Do not overmix.
  5. Taste the dip and add salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  7. Serve your cold seafood dip with crackers, vegetable sticks, or chips.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, add 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh chives or green onions.
  • If you prefer a tangier dip, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
  • This dip is excellent as a make ahead appetizer; it keeps well in the refrigerator for up to three days.
