Make this quick, no-cook smash burger sauce in 10 minutes. It delivers a creamy, tangy, and slightly smoky flavor perfect for upgrading your burgers, fries, or sandwiches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish or finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickle relish, white vinegar, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder to the bowl.
  3. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings if needed; add more vinegar for tang or paprika for smoke.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
  7. Use generously on your smash burgers, as a dipping sauce for fries, or as a spread on sandwiches.

Notes

  • For a copycat version similar to popular restaurant sauces, consider adding 1/2 teaspoon of granulated sugar.
  • If you do not have pickle relish, finely chop 1 tablespoon of dill pickles and add them to the mix.
  • This sauce is excellent for meal planning; it keeps well in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • If you are looking for a lighter option, you can substitute half the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt, though this will change the texture slightly.
