Simple and budget-friendly tuna patties, perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, beaten egg, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, chopped onion, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Carefully place the patties in the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
  5. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Serve with your favorite sauce or on a bun.
  • For crispier patties, you can add an extra tablespoon of bread crumbs.
  • These patties can also be baked at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
