A simple, no-bake holiday treat perfect for gifting or sharing at parties. This festive bark features smooth white chocolate and crunchy candy cane pieces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces good quality white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the chopped white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt the chocolate using a double boiler.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spread the chocolate into a thin, even layer using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.
  5. Immediately sprinkle the crushed candy canes evenly over the melted chocolate.
  6. Let the bark set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until firm. For faster setting, you can place it in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Once firm, break the bark into pieces.

Notes

  • For best results, use good quality white chocolate. The flavor and melting properties are superior.
  • You can crush candy canes in a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin or mallet.
  • Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • This bark makes a wonderful edible gift for cookie boxes or holiday stockings.
